David J. Delene's Researcher Guides and Examples

Below are guides for scientific communications and how to conduct research. Examples of white papers, letters of intent and informational sides are given that the describe research projects where I am pursuing funding support. Additionally, likes are provide for examples   Please send me email (delene@aero.und.edu) with questions, comments, or suggestion.

  • Check out "How to make an effective poser presentation" (Discussed during 2021 REU).
  • There is also a long-running website about making good posers.
  • For an example of an excellent scientific presentation see Greg M. McFarquhar 2019 American Meteorological Society Meeting talk. I attend the presentation in person and talked with Greg beforehand. Greg indicated that he practiced the presentation.  Greg has lots of experience giving talk and still practices!  Additionally, I observed Greg getting to the room early, getting familiar with the presentation equipment/platform, and ensuring his talk worked.
